BGF Contest #13 "Gobble Up Some Fun Contest"

It's almost Thanksgiving, and you know what that means! Lots of Turkey and a new contest!

There will be two parts to this contest. First, put all your ideas together and make a short BABV Thanksgiving story, and post it here. Out of all your stories we will pick 10, which will proceed to the next part of this contest. You will have until Friday night to submit your stories.

Each of the ten who proceed will receive a special gift!

After we pick our ten winners from the first part, we will open a new thread for the winners to do the next part.
For the ten who have been picked, you will need to post a picture of your BABV character dressed up for Thanksgiving. You will also need to post a picture of a Cub Condo room you decorated for Thanksgiving. Or we will go and look at your decorated room in BABV if you can't post pictures. You may only use Bear Stuff furniture to decorate your room. We will then pick three winners.

Our Thanksgiving Day in BABV

The holiday of Thanksgiving is all about the spirit of giving thanks for what we have. We can show our thanks by helping others while having fun with our family and friends. Today is Thanksgiving Day and the entire day will be spent with the ones we love.

Our day begins as my closest friends, family, and our furry friends gather in the Town Square. Because Thanksgiving is a day of helping, our first task is to say hello to all and donate some bearbills to those citizens who are short on money and give some of our clothes to the new citizens of BABV.

Now it is time for some even more fun! We will pretend to be turkeys and gobble around BABV to put a smile on everyone’s faces. We put on our turkey hats generously given to us by ChloeRocks and put on our turkey feet that we got from the wild turkey in the meadow. All of us gobble around always ready to help a fellow citizen.

Next we need to prepare the kitchen for tonight’s Thanksgiving feast. We travel to the Bear Stuff Store and purchase all of our decorations and more chairs to fit all of the pawsome guests. Then we travel next door to the Bear Boutique and we all buy a new Thanksgiving outfit for both ourselves and our furry friends. The rest of the day we spend cooking the turkey and in preparation for our feast.

The time has arrived to cut the turkey and begin our Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone is very excited and ready to begin. We give thanks for what we have and enjoy our evening together. Everyone has had a great day where we helped others, had fun with each other, made new friends, and enjoyed being together; all showing the true meaning of Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

The snow was coming down outside when Kylie and her puppy Lilly walked into the kitchen to start preparing for the Thanksgiving day party. Everyone she knew was coming! Her grandparents, her parents, her friends, and all of their pets!

"Wow!" Kylie thought, "That's alot of people!! This is going to take alot of work!!" Kylie needed ideas for how to decorate her house for the party! She turned on the t.v. The Macy's Thanksgiving day Parade was on. Kylie watched for a little while and looking at all of the balloons gave her an idea. She ran down to Pawlet courfur and Bear Stuff to buy all of her supplies. She neede a table, a table cloth, a cornicopia, alot of chairs, Some pilgrim outfits, candles, forks, knives, spoons, and alot more! Then she ran home to her attic.

"Lilly! Come here! I want to ask you something something!" I yelled from the darkness. Lilly quickly came up the steps. "I want you to call everyone I invited and tell them to meet me in the meadow at eight pm!" I looked at the clock, it was only eleven am! I had plenty of time! "Here's your costume Lilly!' I said, giving her a turkey outfit! She loved wearing it!

I ran to the meadow holding everything I could! I set up a table and put everything on it. After three hours, I finished setting up and I ran back to my house! I put the turkey in the oven and cooked eveything else. After five and a half hours, I took my wagon and put all of the food in it. Lilly and I rolled it to the meadow! It was getting dark, perfect! We put all of the food out and I lit the candles that were surronding the table!

Later, everyone came and they all got into the proper outfits! We sat around the table together and said our blessings and thanked the great Lord for alowing us to be together. Then we ate our dinner like real pilgrims and were thankful for every bit! Being together and being thankful is what Thanksgivin is truly about!

IT'S THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is the day of thanksgiving said RainaHappyHeart. OMG it's thanksgiving! She now yelled. She rushed out of bed went down stairs put some items from her attic in her bag and told her bear to hop in so she did. Later in BABV Raina traded people that needed items so she gave them some things and said have a good day! She was very happy to help people and she invited them to a party that all can attend, the party was at the pawforming arts center, everyone she had seen that day was invited, bears or no bears to make it fair, it was a day we all thanked everyone, we thanked each other for being in BABV and hanging out with each other to make it fun, we thanked Maxine for making the site, we thanked BGF members for being a part of BABV we thanked everyone, because thanksgiving is about thanking people for big or small tasks they have done it doesn't matter how big or how small it means you helped and that is good enough so you are thanked on thanksgiving. So after they thanked everyone they all went to the coffee shop and got a huge table and started to eat a fine thankgiving dinner, then Maxine, Chloe, all the CybearGuides, Pawlette, Bearemy, and Brown Sugar Puppy, they all showed up and walked around then taken a seat and said Happy Thanksgiving and Bearemy pulled out a big box and said we will put things in here and give them to those who need it, and everyone put in some rares maybe even more than one. After everyone filled the box they went to the green center and passed them out, everyone was so happy and thanked us all. Then we all finished our dinner and started to dance and had a wonderful ThanksGIVING, and as Raina walked home she told to herself and her Bear I can't wait until the next Thanksgiving.

On a breezy fall day leaves were falling . Hi, my name is April and this is my story.

"But mom why do I have to!" Yelled 12 year old April. She was planning on going to her friend's house on thanksgiving day and he mom said she would have to stay home to celebrate this wonderful day with her family. April thought 'The problem isn't I having to understand that my mom wants me to celebrate Thanksgiving with the family but what bothers me is that she is treating me like a baby!' That was what April thought until one later that day. It was moring so it was sunny out but chilly. She was so angry with her mom that all she could think of was well-nothing. She was angry with all her might! Then while she was getting dress her fear got to her. She ran downstairs and started yelling. "I am going to that party whether you like it or not!"
"I said no and that is final." Her mom said in a stern voice.
" But mom! You can't do this to me! I am older now! You can't keep treating me like a baby." Then there was silence. She stomped all the way back to her room. She took a pillow to her face and screamed with all her might. Then she took a backpack and started packing. She was going to run away! She snuck out the back door and ran as fast as she could to downtown Chicago. She was very scared and cold but she told herself 'no I am not going back to her.' Then since Chicago is very dangerous a man grabbed her by the arm and said, "Aren't you supposed to be at home celebrating Thanksgiving?"
"No! I won't I won't! Let me go!"
"Fine but let me warn you this place is not safe."
He let her go and off she went. Then later that day a couple of men stared at her and followed her. She got nervous. She started to run but so did they. Luckily she out ran them. She realized that she missed home and wanted to say sorry to her mom. She decided to head back.

She was there and her house was covered with cops. Oh no!' She thought I am busted. She ran to the door and nobody noticed her. Then the door flung open. It was her mom. Her mom hugged her with all her might and April fif it back.
"I am so sorry mom!" April sobbed.
"Ssh. You are here now and that is all that matters. I thought you were gone for sure so I called the cops to search for you but they found nothing. I was worried sick. Don't ever do that again. But now lets tell everyone you are ok."

That day April realized what the true meaning of Thanksgiving-being around those who love you and those you love. So the next day was Thanksgiving. They celebrated and for that day on April knew all she wanted was to be with her family.

Ana was only 7 years old though, she loved to go turkey hunting in the fall, just before Thanksgiving. That day, Ana and her father went turkey hunting. Ana adores hunting because it is very tricky finding just the right one. So little Ana went wondering about as her father was searching, she was wondering if they'd ever find the perfect turkey the whole time.

She had so much fun, she ran and laughed with the deer and the wild ponies. But suddenly, she was very surprised. Ana Blume had seen the rarest type of turkey in the world! She had spotted a "Red Footed Gobbler" or at least that's how her father told her.

Just then, her father walked slowly up to Ana, and told her to stay still as he tried to capture it in a picture. *CLICK* the camera clicked and little Ana and her father had captured the million dollar picture! The reason the picture was worth that much was that, only 4 lucky people have ever seen this rare turkey. 2 of them were Ana and her father.

Then they went to the Photo Shop, to print many many copies of their wonderful discovery. Ana was jumping up and down in excitement! But, just then she stopped when her father had told her the horrible news. Their picture had not come out as they thought.

It was much too blurry, anyone would think it was just a normal turkey. The sun was direct that day, making it almost impossible to take pictures. So, Ana and her father left the Photo Shop and when back home. Ana's father went back to get the Thanksgiving turkey, but Ana stayed home.

Ana's 2 year old brother Tommy tried to cheer her up, but he didn't. Ana stayed in bed until Thanksgiving dinner.*BAM!* Just then, her father bust through the door yelling "I got it! I got it!" Ana sat up in bed with confusion. "What do you mean?" she said, "I got the million dollar picture!!!" said her father excitedly.

"YAY!!" said Ana! "Now we won't have to live in this rusty old cottage anymore!" said mother and Ana at the very same time. "I've also got a turkey to eat." said father. Then all together, they sat at the dinning room table and gave thanks.

And They All Lived Happily Ever After!

"What am i going to do?" Leila thought aloud. It was thanksgiving day and she had completely forgotten about the feast she was suppose to throw together for her BGF friends. "I have nothing prepared. No food, no decorations, no nothing!!! My friends were really looking forward to this, and now I've ruined everything!" And with that, Leila ran off crying.
She ran through Paw Park and Friendship Forest and sat down on a tree stump in the meadow. She looked down at her hands and thought about possible things to say. "Well..." she thought aloud, "I could always tell them that my mom got sick and i had to tend to her, no that doesn't sound right." So she tried again, "How about I tell them that the stores ran out of things.... oh what's the use! I shouldn't lie to my friends, I should just tell them the sad truth"
So she started to get up when she saw something brown flash by and jump in the bushes. She slowly walked over and looked into the bushes.... It was a turkey!!! "Oh my," Leila exclaimed "what are you doing here little fellow. Are you lost?" The turkey shook his head sadly, "Oh don't worry little fellow, I'll help you find your mom."
So they walked around friendship Forest until they finally came across his family. "Oh thank you," exclaimed mama turkey "we were so worried about him. How can we ever repay you?" Leila's face brightened up at that question. "Well..." Leila said slowly, "could you possibly help me prepare a feast for my friends, and help with the decorations?" Mama Turkey nodded her head and they went back to Leila's condo to get to work at once.
Two hours later they were all done and Leila's friends had showed up. They were dancing, dining and having a great time! Leila was so glad to have her Thanksgiving troubles behind her.

Thanksgiving in BABV! By: igooglei

It's Thanksgiving day, and I feel the joy in the air as I walk outside of my Cub Condo with my Furry Friend, Chili, on this crisp November day! The wind was blowing all of leaves into the face and I felt so happy! First, I need to invite over my Best Friends and my family! I invite them over to have some fun on Thanksgiving Day!

First, we take a long walk through the Friendship Forest. We saw the Turkey walking through the Meadow, and he gave us Turkey Feet. We all said "thank you" and put them on! As we were walking through Paw Park, we saw ChloeRocks!!! We were all so surprised! ChloeRocks gave us a cool Turkey Hat! We were all so excited!

We walked over to the town and played a game of Furtastic Fountain. We all got different prizes! I got 1,000 BearBills! We all decided to donate some BearBills to others! We felt so happy after we donated all those BearBills.

It was almost time to have dinner, and I decided to walk over to the Bear Stuff store, while my friends were going on the Recycling Hunt. I went over to the Bear Stuff Store and got all kinds of decorations for the party. I also decided to go to the Bear Boutique to get surprise presents for all my friends!

We all met up in the Neiboorhood and played a quick game of Hide 'n' Seek. We went to the Furbulouse Fashion District and said Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! It was so fun! We were all laughing and having a great time with everyone else!

Well, now is the time to have the great Thanksgiving feast, my favorite part! We were all so excited! When my friends and all of their Furry Friends walked into my Cub Condo, they though it was really cool! We all put up a few more decorations! All of our families came, and it was such a surprise! We all gave thanks, and then we cut up the Turkey and had some cranberry souce! Yummy! It was deliciouse!

I gave all of my friends presents! They were so surprised! They all loved their new Hope Ribbon Tees and Fuzzy Clogs! They all got me a present, too! I opened up the box, and there was the best present EVER! A wonderful card that said "thanks for everything! We'r all Best Friends for Ever!"

We all shouted... Happy Thanksgiving and laughed and had a great time on that Thanksgiving Day!

Wow, your all beary good! I sure hope I get into the 10 who make it to the next part!
