BGF’s Ultimate Bearriliant Scholar’s Championship Round

Yes, its finally here! The first ever BGF Ultimate Bearriliant Scholar’s Championship Round! Are you ready to watch the best BABV Trivia Contest? I know we are! But before we get to the Championship Round, here are some rules (for the Contestants and the Spectators alike) that we’d all like for everyone to follow.

FOR EVERYONE

A. Contestants are advised to come 10 minutes before the start of the match. If the match has started and a particular contestant has not yet arrived they will be given a 5 minute grace period to arrive. However, if the grace period lapses and they still have not arrived, they will forfeit the match. Since this is the Finals Round and only two players are left at the table. Should one contestant forfeit, the other contestant wins by default. Should none of them appear on time and ask for a later schedule, the grand prize will be forfeited.

B. The Match will be a race to 30 with contestants given a range of questions from easy to difficult and varying in points. Whoever gets the most points at the end of the Match wins and will be declared the BGF Ultimate Bearriliant Scholar.

C. Once the round starts, no one is allowed to talk except for the Quiz Master and the contestants. You will be kicked if you don't follow the rules, repeated offenses means you will be banned from the duration of the match.

D. The Quiz Master will state the question only ONCE. Contestants must be alert and answer as accurately and swiftly as possible. Spelling checks, spacing and capitalization will be strictly followed.

E. Quiz Master's decision is final. If you were not awarded a point, carefully review the rules again. Maybe you missed something? Misspelled word? Incorrect answer perhaps? Take note of the spacing, you can never be too sure!

a. For example: Question: Who is the front page model of Build-A-Bearville?
Answer: ChloeRocks
Answers like Chloe, Chloe Rocks, Chloe R., ChloRocks, Rocks, etc will not be accepted.

F. If the Quiz Master has not awarded a point to a question yet, that means he is tallying the answers. Please refrain from talking during this time.

G. Once in a while an official tally of the scores will be announced to ensure that the players keep track of their scores.

H. You are only allowed to give your answer ONCE. If you realize that you’ve made a mistake and wish to correct, make sure you haven’t pressed the Enter key yet. Otherwise, it will do you no good.

I. Once it is noticed that there is a clear winner, the Quiz Master need not continue on with the Round, if it stands that there is no one who can match up to his/her points.

J. For the BYSTANDERS: if you're not part of the official list of players please don't answer. Repeated offenses will mean you're getting banned from the duration of the match as well.

K. A 15 minute break will take place after the first half of the match. At this point everyone is free to talk and have fun.

L. Most important rule of all… Have fun! Break out the popcorn and soda!

The contest is moved to a later time, as requested. As stated in the rules, the grand prize will be forfeited and will be used for the next contest, whichever the donor chooses.

Prizes will still be given away. They will battle for the 2nd prize giveaway.
