New Chief Officer - HamptonBear

On May 10, 2008, 3 of my closest friends and I set up this board and got about a hudred of sign up's. A month later, hundreds upon hundreds registered and we decided to take in active members to our team.

Along came our first seniors and juniors. I sent out invites to those who I think have potential for running a site. Then came April, Jenim and MamaNoodles and sooner came Rachel; more juniors came along; some left, some were removed.

You might be wondering what I am looking for in a Chief Officer (formerly called Senior Officer). It's not about the age, because admitedly, there are those who are old, yet are immature in some ways. It's not about seniority either. Seniority means the length of time spent here as a member and as an officer. Being a Chief Officer requires a great deal of maturity, responsibility and patience.

Everyone here is responsible in their own ways and we are all very patient, if not have learned to become more, in dealing with our members. But not all have the sense of maturity to run a site. With maturity comes a good deal of decision making; this trait makes up the majority of my choice.

It is for the following reasons, the very same reasons I promoted April, Rachel and MumBear, that I proudly promote HamptonBear to Chief Officer.

She is a very sweet and loving girl, and she loves BGF. She helps out anyone in need, and still does her duties as other officers do. Her Graphic Artist term was incredible. I've requested a few graphics from her, and she does a very good job.
